CogAlign aligns MLLMs with the latent structure of human cognition by moving beyond outcomes to underlying cognitive processes through linguistic rationales grounded in behavior-derived semantic dimensions, improving behavioral agreement and neural representational alignment.

I am a 2nd-year master student at ShanghaiTech University, conducting my research at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, through a joint training program. I am advised by Professors Huiguang He and Dinggang Shen.
My primary research focuses on Large Language Models, particularly on aligning model reasoning, behavior, and decision-making with human cognition. I investigate how large-scale human behavioral and cognitive data can provide supervisory signals for learning population-level patterns of human cognition and behavior, and how these patterns can be integrated into models to enable more human-aligned reasoning, behavior, and decision-making.
I also work on neural foundation models, focusing on generalizable representation learning from heterogeneous neural data. I study how transferable representations of neural activity can be learned across individuals, datasets, and recording conditions, with the aim of developing scalable and general-purpose foundation models for neural data.
